Tony has had a painful childhood where even his parents didn't believe in him. Tony is gay and because of his painful past he takes prescription drugs, painkillers mostly, to try to stop the pain.

Venessa's Mother is bipolar and her father is off fighting in the war which leaves her with he Grandmother. Venessa's Grandmother is the sweetest lady but the pain of living with her bipolar mother still haunts Venessa and to try to stop the haunting memories she cuts herself.

Conner seems like he has the perfect life on the outside but he is constantaly pushed by his parents to be perfect and achieve as higly as his sister. When the pressures get to be over the top Conner can't deal with it any longer so he puts a gun to his chest and shoots himself but lives.

When the paths of Tony, Venessa, and Conner are intertwined at Aspen Springs Rehab Center for people like Tony, Venessa, and Conner you never know what could happen.

But the real question is who will live to go home??

With her new baby, Hunter, at hand things could get worse, especially after she meets Trey who takes her under his wing and supplies her with Meth . Crank is about a girl named Kristina who is about as good as a girl can be. Good grades, nice friends, good reputation, and never any trouble but when she visits her father, a drug addict, things turn for the worse. Kristina's bad self, which she has named Bree, takes over when she meets a boy named Adam, better know as Buddy, and starts smoking, cranking, and drinking. While doing those things she is raped while she is high and she becomes pregnant and decides she will keep her baby.

Yet there still is the question what will happen to the good Kristina as Bree takes control?

Zoe has always dreamed of playing piano, being famous, and playing in carnage hall. When her father comes home with a Perfectone D-60 Organ she is not exactly thrilled. When John says yes they go to the dance together and they see Gloria who yells at John but they Violet saves John. Finally the man who is not his father is caught by John's mother beating John. John is hospitalized and the man who is not his father finally goes away.

When Molly starts a band with her two best friends she never expects to become famous. They begin playing at a couple concerts but nothing much until they meet Dean and his friend T. Then the band takes off. The Hormones become a leading band that every ones talking about and soon Molly is living every ones dream of being famous.
